Earle Mankey - Maumau 7"

I had no idea who Earle Mankey was when I bought this album, but since it was on Bomp! I decided to take a chance.

From what I can find out online Earle Mankey was born in Washington state, but ended up in the Los Angeles area first as a musician and then a producer as such acts as: The Runaways, The Long Ryders and Concrete Blonde.

As for this little 45, I don't know how to describe it. There are elements of rock and experimental music. This would be a good fit on a Ralph Records compilation.

So, if you want to try something new, give this a try.

Released in 1978 on Bomp! records

Cheers,

Brian Guy
