The Friendly Hopeful's - Tribute to the Punks of 76 7"

This is one of those cashing in on punk 45s that seemed to come out in the early 80's.

There is no listing on who the Friendly Hopeful's actually are but this was produced by Dave Goodman, who produced some of the Sex Pistols albums that were released on skyclad.

So, what exactly is this? Well it's a melody of six different songs from the likes of the The Buzzcocks, The Clash , The Damned and the Sex Pistols.

Side one is the same as Side two, but side two has some disco dubbing thrown in.

It's not bad, but nothing special either.
I enjoyed it to an extent, but on the other hand I'd rather listen to the originals.

This was released in 1981 on Abstract Records of London.

Enjoy,

Brian Guy
